Born in Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang Province, P.R. China in 1964
Digital musician; Composer and vocal of The Fly band, China's first Punk band.
1986 Graduated from the Fine Art Education Department, the Academy of Fine Art in Zhejiang
1987-92 Fine Art educator and art gallery manager in Zhejiang
Oct 93 Started The Fly band (please refer to The Fly Bio in separate file) in Beijing as composer and vocal
1997-2000 2 albums by The Fly band were released in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan
May 97-May 98 The 1st personal album --"The Fly Fallen In Love" (Digital music) was produced. The album was released in Taiwan by EMI Taiwan in Oct 1998 and in Mainland China by Modern Sky Records in Oct 1999.
It was voted one of the Top Ten Albums of 1998 by music magazines in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Japan.
1999 The 2nd personal album-"516*Feng" (Digital music) was produced. The album was released in Taiwan and Hong Kong in Sep 2000. "The Fly Fallen in Love" "516*Feng"

The Fly Band

Oct 1993 The band was formed with 4 members Feng Jiangzhou, Song Yonghong, Wang Jinsong, and Yan Lei. All of them were renowned avant-garde artists.
May 1994 Reform of the band: Feng Jiangzhou (Vocal), Gao Shengchun (Guitar), Wang Lei (Bass), and Wang Yan (Drum).
Aug 1994-Jul 1995 4 EP were recorded and released in Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. These 4 songs included: "Nirvana", "Gun and Bullet", "The Lemon Tree" and "You Made Me Laugh". By these songs, The Fly established its reputation as the first Punk band and the first "dirty" band in China.
1995 -96 The Fly band became the most controversial band in the country with its sharp satire, deliberate self-destruction and a very different voice which was "dirty", "disorganized" and "bad". Technically sophisticated and artistically powerful, The Fly was the most charming and welcomed band active at Beijing's parties.
Jul 1996 Second reform of the Band: Feng Jiangzhou (Vocal), Koji (Guitar, Japan), Atsushi (Bass, Japan), Guan Fei (Drum).
Jul -Dec 1996, The Fly's first album " The Fly > 1" was recorded and produced.
Jul 1998 The Band's second album "The Fly > 2" was completed.
Oct 1998, The Band went on a performance tour to Hong Kong.
* "The Fly > 1" (Released in Taiwan by Hardcore Pop in Jun 1997, in Mainland China by Modern Sky in Apr 1999, and in Malaysia by Huang Huo in Jan 2000. The album was voted one of the Top Ten Albums of 1997 by music magazines in Japan, Hong Kong and Mainland China.
* "The Fly > 2" (Released in Mainland China by Jing Wen Records in Sep 2000, and in Taiwan by Hardcore Pop in Oct 2000.
